Thursday, October 18th the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame was proud to induct the following individuals, representing each of the Atlantic provinces: Robert Bourgeois (NB), David Coombes (1941-2018), NS, David (Allan) Ling (1946-2018), PEI, and Dr. Ron Taylor, NL.
This year’s inductees have improved producer collaboration, promoted agriculture to generations of Canadians, transformed the management of our livestock and reshaped how we use our crops.
As the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame celebrates its 50th year, we are pleased that 48 inductees are alumni of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. This includes two of this year’s honourees: Robert Bourgeois (Class of 1981) and David Coombes (Class of 1963).
We are proud of the outstanding contributions our alumni make to agriculture in our region, across the country and globally. We are especially pleased to see so many of them recognized by the Hall of Fame and in the company of exceptional individuals like those honoured last week.
