We are still looking for more volunteers to act as mentors for the 4-H Mentorship Program! It is now easier to become involved for two key reasons:
We now only require a police record check, which is free and easy to do (at your local RCMP station). Secondly, this is a virtual mentorship program, which means that mentors and mentees will only have contact via email and over the phone.
By taking part in this 4-H program, mentees will be paired up with a 4-H member (ages 14 to 18) and will have an opportunity to tell them about their experience either working or going to school on this campus (whichever applies to you). The purpose of the mentorship program is to tell 4-H members about the range of programs and careers they can pursue in agriculture and on our campus – this is a prime recruitment opportunity for our Faculty!Â
We have a few employees signed up and appreciate their willingness to take part! If you’d like to join the program, please contact: Mary-Eleanor Power, Marketing Manager, mfpower@dal.ca. She can provide you with details on completing the police check. Please let Mary-Eleanor know by April 27th if you would like to take part.
