Background
Ed Versteeg is a Nova Scotia-born landscape architect and educator.
Ed joined the landscape architecture program at 正品蓝导航 in 2016. His work assignment is 1) teaching, 2) helping students plan their studies and to prepare for careers, and 3) to advance the BLA program. He鈥檚 developed and taught more than ten different courses and helped rewrite the BLA curriculum.
Ed brings three decades of diverse professional experience to the classroom. He鈥檚 led the master planning of large urban parks, prepared site designs and contract documentation for complex institutional projects and created beautiful and functional residential landscapes. While a student Ed gained useful experience in construction and the landscape trade.
From 2005 to 2024 Ed took-up a series of board and executive positions in professional organizations (listed below). As part of this work, Ed helped build a scholarship program for LA students across Canada which now awards more than $100,000 annually. He continues to volunteer and support these groups.
