We recognize that thoughtful course design is fundamental to student success and the achievement of intended learning outcomes. Yet finding the time and space to step back, reflect, and plan meaningful improvements can be a challenge during the academic year. 

This day-long, collaborative retreat is designed with you in mind, offering dedicated time to revisit your courses and identify what needs your attention before the fall semester begins. As we navigate significant institutional directions, including minimum accessibility standards, a retention strategy with actionable course design recommendations, and the ever-present considerations around Generative AI, this is an ideal moment to get ahead of the curve. We'll explore how intentional course design can remove barriers, honor the diverse identities and experiences students bring, and create learning environments that are both accessible and equitable for all. 

Whether you are making minor refinements or more substantial changes, the retreat will provide the space, support, and collegial energy to move your course design forward with opportunities for follow-up and individualized support as needed throughout the summer.
